Lake Fork is a large reservoir located in East Texas, about 70 miles east of Dallas. It spans across Wood, Rains, and Hopkins counties and is close to the small towns of Alba, Emory, Quitman, and Yantis. Covering over 27,000 acres with more than 300 miles of shoreline, Lake Fork is a favorite getaway spot in this part of the state. The surrounding communities have a combined population of roughly 18,500, with Yantis being one of the closest towns.

The lake is best known for its world-class fishing, especially for trophy largemouth bass. It has produced several of the largest bass ever caught in Texas and remains a regular stop for professional fishing tournaments.
